Brisbane Wedding Photographer
Brisbane weddings are a bit of a vibe. Rooftop cocktails, river views, and usually an after-party nobody officially planned.
As a Brisbane wedding photographer coming up from the Gold Coast, I love that a Brisbane wedding can go from canapés on a rooftop to someone's cousin leading a conga line in about an hour.
photographing a city wedding
Same as always: I'm right in the middle of it, just with a few extra things to think about. Brisbane in summer is hot (like, really hot), so we plan shade and timing for the family photos. The river at golden hour is a bit of a showstopper. And I'm a sucker for a big concrete wall with some afternoon light on it.

Brisbane wedding venues

Brisbane has a bit of everything. Howard Smith Wharves sits right under the Story Bridge, with the river on one side and the cliffs on the other. Customs House and City Hall bring the heritage glamour. And if you want rolling hills, the Scenic Rim estates are an easy drive out of town.
where we'll go for portraits
City Botanic Gardens for big shady trees. Roma Street Parklands if you want lush and green in the middle of the city. New Farm Park when the jacarandas are out (late October, you won't regret it). Kangaroo Point for the skyline at sunset.
small weddings & the registry
Not every Brisbane wedding is 150 guests and a ballroom. I love photographing smaller celebrations too, from a ceremony at the Brisbane Registry to a long lunch with twenty of your favourite people.

Is travel to Brisbane included?
Yes, travel throughout South East Queensland is included in all packages.
Do you photograph Brisbane Registry weddings?
I do, and I offer shorter coverage for them. Just ask.
Where are good portrait spots near the city?
The Botanic Gardens, Roma Street Parklands, New Farm Park and Kangaroo Point are all within 10 minutes of most city venues.
