35mm Film Wedding Photography
I'm a bit hopeless when it comes to film. There's always a 35mm camera in my bag at weddings, and the scans are the bit I'm most impatient for.
So alongside digital, I offer 35mm film wedding photography for couples who want some of their day to look like old family photos.

why film
Film is grainy, a little unpredictable and occasionally manages to cut someone's head off. And yet, I love it.
Remember being a kid and dropping off a roll of film, then waiting what felt like an eternity to get it developed? I still get that same feeling of excitement when I get a roll back. You never know exactly what you're going to get, and I think that's part of the magic. And the colours? There's just nothing quite like them.
Film has this nostalgic feel to it that takes me back to a time before everything had to be perfectly polished. In a world where we're constantly chasing perfection, I love how film strips things back and captures the raw, imperfect beauty of the world as it is.

how it works on the day

Digital still covers your whole day, so you won't miss a thing. Film runs alongside it for the in-between moments: getting ready, a few portraits, golden hour..
pricing
35mm film is a $200 add-on to any wedding or elopement package.

Will all our photos be on film?
No. Digital covers the whole day, film is the bonus on top. However, if you are interested in a film only captured wedding, I absolutely offer this. Just get in touch!
Does film work at night?
That's where flash comes in! Film can be a little trickier in low light, so I tend to use it more during the day and around golden hour. But don't rule out nighttime film photography, especially with flash. It can look seriously good!
